- A long strip of paper per pair
- Passage 4 - in the doorway, looking into the classroom

Lesson sequence
1 Collect the places - 6 min
- Focus:
- A list the book gives in order
- Teacher model:
- Read page 3 and write each place on the board as it comes.
- Prepared text:
- Passage 3 2 Build the strip - 9 min
- Teacher direction:
- In pairs, write the route in order.
- Expected answer:
- Inside, stairs, corner, hallway, open door, back of the room.
