- Five turns, and only one is first
- Teacher direction:
- Five trucks go to sleep, one after another. See if you can hold the order in your head as we read.

- Teacher model:
- I read the goodnight line for the first truck and then the one for the second. The lines are identical except for the name in the middle - so the name is how the book tells you where you are.

- Teacher direction:
- Using Passages 6, 10, 11, 15 and 18, write the trucks in the order they go to sleep.
- Expected answer:
- Crane Truck first, then Cement Mixer, then Dump Truck, then Bulldozer, then Excavator. The easiest way to find them is to read the first line of each turn, because every truck is named in the verse that introduces it - Dump Truck loves to work and haul, Bulldozer works to smooth the grade, Excavator shapes the land. The soft slanted line at the end of a turn carries the name too, and is otherwise identical every time.
