Lesson sequence

1 Before reading - 4 min

  • Passage 3 - a mass of bright green leaves with one odd shape among them
  • Passage 4 - a leaf-shaped insect on a leaf, both the same green
  • Passage 7 - branching yellow seaweed underwater
  • Passage 11 - a green tree frog with its throat sac puffed out
Focus:
Animals that are hard to see on purpose
Teacher direction:
Ask what camouflage means and where the class has seen it.
