- Teacher direction:
- Read the washing list on the first tub page and stop. Ask the class to hold those parts in their heads, because the list is coming back.

- I read the first tub page's list, then the second tub page's list, and I stop on the difference. The first list ends at the mouth. The second list has the mouth in the middle of it now, and something new on the end. Nothing was taken away. One thing was added.

- Using Passages 4, 8 and 13, copy the washing list from each tub page, one under the other.
- Expected answer:
- The three lists start the same way every time - ears, then eyes, then mouth - and each one is longer than the one before. The first stops at the mouth. The second adds the nose. The third adds the belly button as well. Nothing ever drops off the front of the list; the new part always goes on the end. You could guess the next list before hearing it, and you would be right about all of it except the last part.
